Hotel Review – Inter Hotel Le Bristol, Strasbourg, France

Day 3 of our trip and we arrived at Gare de Strasbourg (station) from Frankfurt via train. It was close to nightfall as we walked over to our hotel at Inter Hotel Le Bristol to check in. I was quite amaze to spot many other hotels along the stretch across Strasbourg Station where Inter Hotel Le Bristol was sandwiched somewhere in between. Hotel Review – Art’otel Cologne by Park Plaza, Germany

While 25 Hours Hotel Das Tours, Dusseldorf  was warm, cozy & furnished in German-French vintage style, Art’otel Cologne by Park Plaza on the other hand showcased modern, minimalist and stylish design.

Getting to Art’otel Cologne by Park Plaza was rather convenient as it only took less than 10 minutes by bus 133 from Cologne Hauptbahnhof Main Train Station. Being located along the Rheinauhafen district, the Old Town and a museum was just few minutes walk away. Not forgetting the Lindt Chocolate Museum which was about 3 minutes walk across the Rhine River. Continue reading “Hotel Review – Art’otel Cologne by Park Plaza, Germany”

Hotel Review – 25 Hours Hotel Das Tour, Dusseldorf, Germany

After the dreadful 13 hours ride in a direct flight aircraft, the first thing most of us would like to do would be to check in into the hotel room. With the freezing weather and the sky was about to turn dark for nightfall, I was thankful 25 Hours Hotel Dusseldorf was about 5 mins walk from Wehrhahn Station.

The interior was pretty much German-French inspired with retro/vintage furnishings as well as the metal frames of Eiffel Tower. A large Christmas tree was set up and there were fresh flowers and trinkets on sale due to festive seasons. For those whom would love to chill, coffee and cakes are available at the lobby’s mini Café La Tour. Continue reading “Hotel Review – 25 Hours Hotel Das Tour, Dusseldorf, Germany”

Hotel Review – Sofitel Singapore City Centre

I had a staycation with mum over the weekends at Sofitel Singapore City Centre, nestled in the heart of the central business district. I was rather surprised at first since I wasn’t expecting to find a luxury hotel around Tanjong Pagar, especially directly above the MRT station.
The hotel was rather elegant to begin with, as my mum and I stepped in, making our way towards Racines, a French and local Chinese restaurant for lunch before checking in. Chilled soup and bread was served as we waited for our mains to arrive.

Weekends Getaway to Kuala Lumpur (Royale Chulan The Curve)

It was meant to be a short getaway and I rushed over to the airport after taking half day leave that Friday. The air ticket to Kuala Lumpur International Airport was almost twice the usual price since it was a few days before Malaysia’s election day.
I met up with my friends in Royale Chulan The Curve, the place where I would be staying for 2 nights. Due to the horrible traffic jam, it took about one and the half hours to reach my destination.
I should have taken to KL Central via train and alighted at SBK08 – MRT Mutiara Damansara. It would probably be much faster and cheaper too.
